Always passionate about photography in black and white, the author deepens his studies in Germany, during a workshop about theory and practice of printing black and white fine art. Quaglietta (AV), Italy: 10 Juny to 26 August 2007
On 10 June 2007 was held the ceremony to receive their award Werner Bischof in the medieval village of Quaglietta, fraction of Calabritto (AV), in Italy. This is the fifth edition of the Prize, organized by the Circolo FIAF Werner Bischof. On this occasion, was opened a solo exhibition of the great photographer, undisputed master of Italian photography, who in his long and intense activity has published nearly 200 volumes, which are a photographic documentary heritage of exceptional value on Italy in the last 50 years. Among other exhibits were displayed works of the collection entitled "Between Heaven and Earth" by Fausto Donnini. [ read more ... ]

Festival Internazionale di Fotografia - Roma, Italia

Fine Art Photography International Festival in Rome (RM), Italy: and exposition entitled "Nature in Bianco e Nero" (Nature in Black and White), in the ACTA International Gallery.
The exhibition presents photos in black and white of the Tuscan landscape, expertly caught in the forms and rhythms of his essential nature. The valleys and paths of Tuscany, topped by dense and cloudy skies are rendered with great technical skill at shooting and printing by Fausto Donnini, who returns through the wide tonal range of grays and a watchful eye and poetic, evocative beauty of his land.

The collective show includes a significant number of artists - 48 painters, 10 sculptors, 12 photographers and 1 video artist - representing the various contemporary trends in the world of Italian Fine Art. So this event is a cross-section and a wide perspective of contemporary art that is an opportunity and an extraordinary stage of absolute prestige and visibility. Exposition «Arte in Bianco e Nero» (Black and White Fine Art), Hoepli Gallery - Milan (MI), Italy, since 19 March 2007
The exhibition reveals its own intentions quickly; images are heterogeneous in terms of gender: ranging from landscapes, in which the photographer (Fausto Donnini) is a master (see "Terre d'Orizzonte"), the architectural details, from urban scenes to geometric details, caught in natural texture agricultural environment, up to a sort of still life (mostly object trouvé!) that evokes visual reminders between dadaism and the metaphysical.
